He Talks!

We were finally able to catch Sam in a cooperative mood! Here he is reciting most of the words he knows. I realized yesterday that he also has a word for chocolate--"Taht". He kept repeating it as he pointed to the top shelf of the cupboard--right where I keep my stash. Later I learned that Aaron gave some chocolate chips to him while he was baking cookies. And Sam didn't forget where they came from! Smart kid!

I made some (delisherous!) macaroon cups the other day--thanks mom, for the recipe! Anyway, Jacob looked into the bowl of filling and smelled it and then said this. (on the video.) I tried many attempts to get him to repeat it for the camera--this is the best I could do. You can hear my prompt at the beginning, but then Jacob says it almost as cute and natural as the first time. Although he knows how to say "delicious" the right way, he has always made his own variations of the word. It went from "deee-LISHOUS" to just "lishous". Once, when I was baking and Jacob was upset that he couldn't have a taste he went crying to Aaron, "Daddy, I want some of that 'lishous!" So cute!

Oh yeah, I also had the camera turned sideways. Oops! (Why do I always forget that?)

We can't wait to see these kids- we didn't know Sam could talk - they are both so cute. What wonderful blessings children are.

I love the videos Rebecca! Thanks for taking the time to put them on (either it took a few hours to upload or you went to the library to do it, right?:) It's fun to be able to see and hear our little nephews!
