We made it back to Iowa just in time for the New Year's festivities. We took the boys downtown to the annual ImaginEve night. They had fun running and jumping around and going down the slides. Jacob did most of it, Sam was getting pretty tired. They each got balloon hats, but you can imagine how long those lasted. Luckily, even a popped balloon holds enough mystery to entertain some. (Just how far can it stretch?) Although Jacob loves dancing, and goes crazy with excitement whenever he's with kids, I think he was too tired here to join in the Dance Party they had going on on the stage. Even so, he didn't want to be far from the action! I like this picture because every child shows signs of movement, yet Jacob is perfectly still.
