The San Antonio children's theatre is one thing I will sorely miss when we move. Today, I took Jacob and Sam to see "If You Give a Pig a Party". As always, it was amazing. The performers are just wonderful and really know how to entertain with song, dance, and theatrics. I especially love all the references to the 80s that seem to be a part of many of the shows (Nintendo sound effects/music (e.g. from Super Mario Brothers or Zelda), Michael Jackson, and other songs/dances from my childhood). We even got to meet the performers after the show and get their autographs (I've always loved that kind of thing). One song about ice cream was stuck in our head after the play: "Ice cream, ice cream, what could be better? Ice cream, ice cream, good in any weather!" So, of course, we had to stop and get ice cream on the way home. Jacob is making his best pig impression.
