Soccer

Today was Jacob's last soccer game (well, kind of-we just found out that next week they have a make-up game but we have been telling him today was the last day...so he's done). As we left the soccer field after a typical game (he refused to play the entire game), he exclaimed: "I'm totally done with soccer!" I suppose he means forever. As we were getting ready for naps Jacob said he wanted to pray. In his prayer he told Heavenly Father: "I'm so happy to be done with soccer today." His team was actually undefeated, with most of the games being shutouts. They were totally stacked. I felt bad for some of the other teams who rarely had scoring opportunities. I decided not to post pictures of Jacob standing on the field with his arms folded, pouting, as the other kids are playing behind him (we have plenty of those). I'm determined to be positive and remember the good things about the season. He had some good moments and did seem to improve throughout the year. In the second to last game he played goalie and had a couple saves, with no goals scored on him. Sam is already talking about playing soccer next year when he's old enough. Do we dare sign him up? :)

Oh man, that's kinda funny. I would think that Jacob would just LOVE running around kicking a ball. I think Jason would like it if Porter felt the same way as Jacob about soccer. :)
