Here is a video of them riding bikes. It is not very exciting and of course now I regret sending Sam outside in only a diaper. Oh well. We decided to let them stay up later so that they could play with the neighborhood kids in the evenings. It is just too hot during the day and the street is in full sun. No one goes outside until later. Now Jacob has a great little buddy named "Oni". (He is Albanian. It is short for Oulon, but I have no idea how to spell it!) Both boys are always very excited to see each other and very reluctant to go inside when its time. Jacob used to wake up in the morning and ask right away, Can we play with Oni now? He wouldn't believe me that people sleep in on the weekend. After hours of begging I let him knock on their door at 9:30 and sure enough Oni was in jammies! He was so sad that they couldn't play together! Thankfully, he has come around now and has more patience to wait until after dinner to go out and play.

This is Oni!

Jacob's influence. He loves to pull the weeds and then carry them around on his bike in the little red bag Aaron brought back from Guatemala (you can see it dangling from his handlebars). So Sam does the same. You can see in the picture the greenery in the back, that is the beginning of the green space that runs behind our house. Jacob also picks the seed pods from the mesquite trees there and totes them around as well as the leaves which he calls bananas because of their shape even though they are only about an inch and half long!
