An Egg Garden

Finally! Frost free weather! Time to get out the trowels and watering cans and see what we can create!

So I had this great idea to plant some seeds in egg shells. I thought the boys would love it and I knew in advance I would have to guard the little eggs from each inquisitive little guy. As expected they loved using the trowel to move (and fling) dirt. Our little eggs didn't have much of a chance from the beginning!

Jacob made it his personal mission to water the eggs twice a day with 4-5 good soakings each time. My explanations were fruitless. But what's the point of gardening anyway if you can't enjoy it?
For all the smashed flowers and drowned seedlings I am glad he likes to work in the garden with me!

Here is what remains of the egg garden...soaked through!
