New Car

After sharing one vehicle for over 6 years of our 6 1/2 years of marriage we finally bought a second car. Waking up three sleeping children early in the morning to take me to work, taking the bus (and sometimes my bike to the nearest transit center and then the bus because no bus came near our house as early as I needed to be to work), and driving to work myself and leaving Rebecca at home with three children and no transportation (except walking, bikes, or the bus) finally became too difficult. I really think it's pretty remarkable we made it work for as long as we did. Shortly after purchasing our new vehicle, the transmission on the van went out and we had to get a complete transmission rebuild. On the bright side, we had a reliable second car (a 2010 Honda Accord) during the five days the van was in the shop.
