It pays to be late sometimes. I got off work kind of late and we arrived to the baseball game well after it had started. We paid for parking and I turned in to the first lot, finding a spot in the first row right in front of the main entrance. I saw a worker taking away the "VIP" parking sign after we got out of the car and realized we were not supposed to park there. He said it was fine. We went to turn in our slips of paper for the raffle to be able to meet Jeff Kent before going to our seats. We entered the area where a box was supposedly placed on a table, but found no such box. Someone said to take the elevator up to the third level, so we did. When we exited the elevator I saw Jeff Kent with a small group of people lined up to meet him. I think they had already had their names drawn. We asked a worker if there was a box for the drawing (they were drawing names throughout the game) and he said it would be fine if we just went over and got in line with the other people. Afterwards, I realized we were next to the luxury suites and probably were not supposed to be up there. Jeff Kent lives up in Austin and came down for Mormon Night. He was extremely nice and I was glad the night was going so well, even before we got to our seats. We all had a great time sitting next to members of our ward. Jacob saw someone dressed up as a pickle and kept asking where the "pickle guy" was for the rest of the night. We had great seats behind home plate and even saw Alan and Natalie. We didn't quite make it until the end of the game, but I just looked up the final score: we lost 6-0. It sure felt like we won though.

you did win for the night. you got great parking, met Jeff , and enjoyed the game while watching out for the pickle man. Seems entertaining to me!
how fun! I love the video clip too of you guys on the news, I can't believe how big all the kids are getting. By the way - I didn't make the hair bows, but you totally could do it, they are made from nylon material and then sewn together with a ribbon over that part and then you just clip whatever color bow you want on top of it. My sister in law got them for me at a boutique, but I'll try and find a website, I need to figure it out too!
http://www.ehow.com/how_2088248_nylon-headbands-children.html, the ones that I have have a loop of ribbon the same color over the sewn part and then you can just buy bows anywhere - walmart or target or whatever and clip them in, if you want I can take a picture, I haven't tried it, but this website looks pretty close
what a awesome night out with the boys. Aaron - you always seem to find cool memories to make. way to go!
