Viva La BUGS!!!

Weeks ago the kids and I were at a park near the river. Sam loves chasing the ducks/geese around until they take to the air or water, whichever they can manage the fastest. When we noticed the baseball diamond filled with gulls and mallards grubbing for bugs I wasn't surprised when Sam asked to "go play over there." Yeah, those birds were in for it. Moments later I heard the massive WHOOSH as hundreds of birds took to flight, miffed that their lunch had been spoiled I am sure. I saw the little speck that was Sam running this way and that, covering as much ground as he could so as not to leave a single bird standing. Even though he was far off I could see his exuberant smile like a happy little puppy at his conquest. Harmless boy fun. But Sam had deeper motives I was to find out. As he ran back to me he threw his arms up and, punching the air on the last two words said in a loud voice, "So all the bugs can LIVE LIFE!" That's our Sam. Actor. Dragon Hunter. Bug Liberator.

Jail Time

We were watching a video this morning on lds.org about Joseph Smith and the coming forth of The Book of Mormon. After the first vision, Joseph shared his experience with some people. They laughed and ridiculed him. Sam replied, "I hope those guys get a timeout or go to jail!"

Poetry for Boys

So proud of my boy! He basically memorized this poem. You can guess the parts where he and Sam usually burst out laughing. This and other great poems can be found in A book of Flies: Real or otherwise by Richard Michelson. Gross but funny.

This is the Right Place

They finally broke ground for our house in Pasco. Never thought I would live in Pasco, but what can I say. My clinic is in West Pasco and I figured it would be nice to live where I work. We can't wait!

Jarom's Blessing

We are so grateful to have had Grandma and Grandpa Weber, Grandma and Grandpa Richardson, and Alan and Natalie and family here for the baby blessing. Our family brings us so much joy and happiness and we are truly thankful for all their love and support.

Here are some pictures from this evening and last Saturday. You may wonder what on earth I have Sam dressed in. Despite it being bedtime, he is wearing his ghost costume. He would have slept in it if Jarom hadn't had a blow-out all over him. Lovely.
When Jacob held Jarom he began rocking him back and forth. Jarom is just making the typical weird baby faces, but it looks like he is laughing, so I know Jacob will get a kick out of that when he sees it. He just adores Jarom and says over and over, "Aww, isn't our baby so cute?"

One of the best things to do at night before bed is to let the kids have turns snuggling Jarom. No matter how much they are bouncing off the walls, they never pass up the chance to lie down and have some one on one time with their littlest brother. Although this particular night it still felt a bit hectic as you will see with all the noise in the background, other nights it has been such a calm and peaceful part of the evening routine.

I just love watching Adelay with her baby brother. She plays the mama role so well! I love how she carefully straightens his blankets, kisses him, giggles, and then cleans his face! It still makes me laugh especially because she herself needs a good mama scrub down with that toothpaste on her face and arm!

Lullabyes

Here is Sam singing a lullabye to Jarom. So sweet!
